State Chaplain - Army

I served in the US Army as a heavy truck driver MOS 642-10  from Oct. 3, 1960 until September 13, 1963 I earned my eligibility in West Berlin Germany from 1961 until 1963 with an Armed Forces Expeditionary Metal. My First duty station in Germany was with the 513th Transportation Company 38thTransportation Battalion in Worms Germany. I attained the rank of Specialist Fourth Class while serving.  I joined the VFW in February 1978 as a Charter member of VFW Post 9273, where I have held positions as post Chaplain, post quartermaster two terms and post commander for 14 terms 12 of those terms as All State post Commander. I served as State Community Service Chairman in 2011-2012 I  was appointed as National Aide De-camp two times and I have served on Two National Committees one being National Security and Foreign Affairs’ and National By-Laws Committee. I was elected to the position of District Four Commander in 2013 and have served in that position until now 2018-2019  I was Co-Captain All-State Team District Commander in years 2014-2015 and 2016-2017. I attended National Recruiter training in January 2008 but had to resign a year later due to Cancer and the unknowns of my life expectancy. I have been in remission since 2011. My passion is serving Veterans and honoring the service and sacrifice that so many others gave.
